It’s helpful for:
Clients who get caught up in negative self-talk or thoughts they believe too strongly. Especially useful in anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, or perfectionism.
How to use it:
Pick a sticky thought and walk through the two levels: first recognising the thought, then noticing the thinking process. Say the phrases aloud to help the client feel the emotional shift that comes from taking a step back.
