What is it?
This worksheet introduces the idea that fighting our feelings can actually turn the struggle up. It invites clients to respond with kindness instead of resistance-allowing emotions rather than escalating them.
It’s helpful for:
Clients who feel overwhelmed by discomfort or who try hard to suppress, avoid, or “fix” their feelings. Especially helpful for anxiety, perfectionism, and emotional intensity.
How to use it:
Start by identifying what emotion they’re struggling with. Use the reflection prompts to explore what the feeling might need, then introduce the grounding tips. Help your client practise sitting beside their feelings instead of pushing them away.
