What is it?
This worksheet shows how one small worry can spiral into bigger, more distressing thoughts. It visually tracks how our thinking can snowball when left unchecked, and why noticing early makes a big difference.

 

It’s helpful for:
Young people or anxious clients who struggle with “what if” thinking or rumination. It’s especially useful for building insight into patterns that lead to panic, withdrawal, or low confidence.

 

How to use it:
Talk through a recent worry and trace the spiral step-by-step. Then reflect together-was the conclusion realistic? Could they have stepped off earlier? This opens up conversations about alternative responses and more helpful thinking patterns.
